  1. That’s understandable. But that’s part of the reason that makes these kind of book so great if done right, we learn something along the way 🙂

  2. I saw this one on Edelweiss, but for some reason it didn’t interest me. Well, let’s just say you’ve completely got me intrigued all over again! Definitely looking forward to reading this one. Thanks so much for sharing and, as always, BRILLIANT review!

  3. I love books about other cultures and the Indian culture is one that does really fascinate me. I hadn’t heard of this before and may need to consider getting a copy!

    • I’ve only read maybe two other books on Indian culture but this one was my favorite. I learned a lot about their dance culture and the god of dance, Shiva.

  4. I hadn’t heard of this one before, though the cover does look familiar. I love learning about different cultures, especially when the author does it right. I hate when you get submerged in a whole new culture but can’t picture anything or understand what’s going on. I’ve watched more than a few Indian movies, but they’re very Americanized and don’t always show traditional elements of the culture. I really enjoyed watching the dance. I don’t think I would have been able to picture it without googling it either.

  5. I love it when a main character is so determined. I’ve read other books wear people become amputees or disabled where they do wallow. I don’t mind since my goodness you have to have a completely different lifestyle and way of thinking now that you need to learn how to walk or in this case dance again. I really like that Veda does have a fighting spirit. The dancing she does looks pretty cool. Very different than what I’m used to seeing.
The older guy relationship sounds weird… but it doesn’t feel like it”ll happen or be the main part of the story so I’m sure it’s fine. Great review (:

I'd love to hear from you!
