  1. I loved this book so much! It was scary and mysterious and so so sweet all at the same time. I have to say though, while I loved Jay in this one, I really wasn’t a huge fan in the second book. I hope you love the rest of the series. Maybe you’re reviews will convince me I need to read the other two books in the series!

    • I’ve actually finished the series already. I’m a little behind on posting reviews. I didn’t care for the 2nd book either, not because of Jay but just in general. It’s now my mission to convince you to finish the series 😉

  2. I loved this book and the series! It’s one of my favorites though I have to say I wish there would have been a bit more with the last book. But oh well! Still love the books. And I have to agree that is was a perfect blend of suspense and everything else! Man, this makes me want to go reread the book! Great review! 🙂

  3. I’ve been wanting to read this series and haven’t yet 😦 It seems like I’m a little late to the party bc SO many people have already read and loved it… and it seems right up my alley so I don’t know why I haven’t gotten to it yet. I guess it’s the massive TBR pile I’ve got going on. I like how pretty your reviews look on your new blog 🙂 Very clean and eye-catching!!

    • It’s never too late to join the party =) I totally understand about having a massive TBR though. It makes me SO happy that you like the new review format =D it was one of my main reasons for moving to WordPress.

  4. I love all of the elements you described in this genre..suspense, mystery and romance plus the killer’s pov. I kind of dismissed this since YA in the genre seems to fall flat for me..but you have me adding this to my list. It sounds incredible well done and detailed. Thanks so much.

  5. I read this book, so long ago and I still recommend it to people often! I’ve only read the first three books, but I recently found out there was a fourth (imagine my happiness!!). I promise they just get better and better! And Kimberly Derting is such a nice and funny person! If she comes near your town, you really should meet her!

  6. So happy you liked this! I got most of the books for free just sitting on my shelves. I love that the book shows the killer’s POV. I’ve don’t think I’ve ever experienced that but it sounds awesome. The romance sounds promising ❤

    • Read them!! The killer’s POV is totally creepy and gives me goosebumps but it adds a whole other level of depth to the story. I’d be interested to hear what you think of it!

  7. I remember loving this book so much! I really need to reread TBF and finish the series. Completely agree about the killer’s POV (so eerie) and I also liked how Violet had a support unit of family and friends.

    Fabulous review!

  8. I really enjoyed this one as well! I adored the romance and the mystery was perfectly paced which worked well. Unfortunately, the sequel didn’t work out for me since another love interest was introduced and I’m not a fan of love triangles, but I hope you have better luck with the rest of the series than I did. Wonderful review! 🙂

I'd love to hear from you!
